The design process began with a quote from philosopher Jan Smuts, which emphasizes the interconnectedness and hierarchy of nature. This quote served as the primary inspiration for the design team, who sought to create a "unified and organic whole" from complex components. The result is a visual identity that is both micro and macro, reflecting Galena Pharm Inc's roots in medicine and pharmaceutical production.

The design's uniqueness lies in its visual properties, which embody the principle of "order among seeming chaos." This concept, which permeates all existence, is represented in the design through the use of complex geometrical tools. The final design is a testament to Galena Pharm Inc's multifaceted operations and its commitment to modern medicine.

The design was realized using a combination of sketches on paper, Corel Draw X7, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. All final graphical designs are custom-built vector graphics, ready for use in both digital and print formats. The visual identity guidelines for the brand were designed as a PDF document/presentation, providing the client with a comprehensive understanding of the design's philosophy and color scheme.

The design project, which began in December 2016 and was finalized in February 2017, was not without its challenges. The design team initially sought to create an abstract representation of Galena Pharm Inc's medical activities. However, after researching similar medical brands, they found that a more literal visual approach was preferred. Despite this, the client was pleased with the final logo design, affirming its suitability for the brand.

In recognition of its creativity and innovation, the design was awarded Silver in the A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2017. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and that evoke positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
